The Elopement House Templestowe began in a very personal way.

After hosting a wedding on our property for family friends, we realised just how special this space felt when shared with others. Over the years, our home had naturally become the place where birthdays, celebrations, milestones and family gatherings were held, and the idea slowly grew into something more.

What makes this property truly special is that it has been created with love over many years. My husband's passion for gardening has shaped every corner of the grounds, from hidden garden paths and lush greenery to peaceful spaces designed to feel calm, natural and private. Together, we wanted to create somewhere couples could enjoy an intimate wedding experience that felt relaxed, personal and meaningful.

Through my award-winning bridal hair and makeup company, Magical Makeovers, I've spent almost 40 years helping brides prepare for one of the most important days of their lives. Along the way, I've built wonderful relationships with talented celebrants, photographers, florists and other trusted wedding professionals who share the same passion for creating beautiful wedding experiences.

Over the years, I've also learned that every couple is different. Some love planning every detail, while others simply want someone they trust to guide the way. Whether you'd like to create your own wedding or have us help coordinate the details, our goal is always the same—to make your experience feel relaxed, effortless and enjoyable.
